Problem
|
While the Series 7000 mechanism for organizing and presenting Protocol Orders may be effective, all of these methods require a user to enter each component (individual order). Often entering these orders is a redundant mechanical task and an ineffective use of human resources, especially that of skilled healthcare professionals. Since initiating the Protocols requires user interaction, Protocol initiation may be delayed during heavy workload periods and errors of omission may occur.

Solution

The UYS Protocol Order Initiator automates the task of entering static components (M, P or S data) associated with Protocols, freeing clinical users from this obligatory task. The user need only enter the Standard Plan or Protocol Name, and the Protocol Order Initiator will enter all the associated components. The Protocol's source can be either a CareMinder Standard Plan or a Personal Order Set.
