POS Maintenance Tool

UYS is proud to introduce unsurpassed simplicity for managing Eclipsys Series 7000 Personal Order Sets (POS).  The Personal Order Set Maintenance Tool allows you to regain control of your Personal Order Sets.  The Tool also eliminates many of the barriers that may have prevented your facility from offering this powerful feature!  Does your facility have restricted medications that, by policy, are not permitted in orders sets?  Are your analysts wasting valuable time searching for and removing these items from order sets?  Schedule the POS Maintenance Tool to routinely search for and CONCURRENTLY delete up to 10 different orders from all sets!  Removing a medication from the formulary?  Use the Tool to identify and delete all instances of the medication from the all the Personal Order Sets with one simple matrix request.

Concerned with maintaining the chronological retrieval of orders as originally entered in the set?  So was UYS: The tool preserves the original chronology whenever ANY order is updated within a set!  Now that's functionality!

Using analyst provided input criteria, the POS Maintenance Tool performs the following maintenance tasks for up to 10 parameters concurrently: Delete Order, Search for Component, Search for and Replace Component, Delete Component or Insert Component.

UYS can implement the POS Maintenance Tool at your site in a single week.  Implementation includes installation, analyst training and documentation.  The analyst time freed by the use of the POS Maintenance Tool will provide an immediate return on this investment.

Sign Orders Solution

UYS' Sign Orders Solution provides a simple and comprehensive function that tracks ALL unsigned orders and permits physicians to identify all the current patients that have unsigned orders entered on each physician's behalf (not just those patients currently on their patient list).  Orders entered by An Agent for the Physician statused unsigned typically require an electronic signature to be retrospectively applied by a physician.  Orders entered by a physician's agent that lack category code UJC (written order) or UJD (adjusting or secondary order) do not contain the Series 7000 signature flag.  The inability of the Eclipsys 7000 Series system to effectively and efficiently identify those patients with unsigned orders for a specific physician has resulted in poor compliance of signing verbal orders and verbal order compliance is an issue monitored closely by the JCAHO.  It is difficult at best to enforce a policy regarding signing verbal orders without providing a simple function to facilitate the required task.  The challenge to Hospital Information Technology (HIT) departments is to provide a mechanism that is so simple to use that the barriers confronting the physician are removed.  The UYS developed "Sign Verbal Orders Solution" delivers the simplest, most effective, flexible, yet easy to use solution for signing medical orders available on Eclipsys Series 7000.  UYS can implement this comprehensive Sign Orders solution in less than a week.  Implementation includes installation, training and documentation.

Medication List Ordering

UYS' Medication List Ordering continues to redefine Series 7000 Pharmacy.  Medication List Ordering (MLO) eliminates thousands of hard coded Medication Index and Medication Selection Screens and replaces them with a dynamic list of medications. Users can select a drug name, select a partial drug name or type a partial drug name retrieve all formulary matches to a dynamic index.  The medication index is crossed referenced trade to generic name.  MLO supports either listing or not listing Brand / Trade names and switching from one configuration to the other can be accomplished in MINUTES!  The basic screen flow for medication ordering is retained.

MLO will significantly reduce Series 7000 maintenance requirements and improve user satisfaction.  Facility's replacing the Series 7000 system with another product can use MLO to reduce formulary maintenance and free analyst hours for implementation tasks!

Other features include: *Displayable information at the point of order entry; *Dispensing / administration information incorporated into the order message; Drug specific Route and Schedule Screens; Pharmacist only access to non-formulary items; Multiple facility / formulary support; **Therapeutic (AHFS) Ordering Index.

Please contact UYS or visit our Web Site for more information.

* Information can be entered and maintained by the Department of Pharmacy.

** Requires First Data Bank's National Drug Data Formulary (NDDF) used by Series 7000 Clients running the Drug Interaction module.
